A bird's eye view of our little playground that I've been working in all summer.
|
And of course, the constant noise we get to deal with everyday. The Navy and Royal Air Force park their planes and helicopters behind us. |
After two plus months, we finally have a shack with a/c and a toilet - no furniture, but we're moving up in the world. |
 |
Delivery of yet another 750 kw generator. |
| And finally it's pushed into place along with all the others.... |
 |
And still more trucks to be offloaded
Of course every now and then, something unexpected happens....
Apparently Rashmy has decided to take up gardening with a forklift.... ...in a place where this type of forklift shouldn't be.... |
And yes - he is well and truly stuck. |
 |
Garry suggests maybe a little more throttle might help... |
 |
| So it's Garry to the rescue with the 25K forklift... |
Finally back on solid ground. |
Not to be outdone, two days later......
 Why the smile Garry? |
Oh.... Just another example of the hazards we have to deal with on a daily basis out here. |
 |
So Rashmy tries to return the favor..... |
 |
| With the tail end of the 10K hanging in the air, they decide maybe not... |
| So once again the 25K comes out to play. |
 |
Now let's try not to drop the other wheel in. |
Leave it to Garry to find the weak spots... |
...and dig himself a hole. |
Sometimes we have our problems delivered to us.
This is what happens when you build flimsy crates and put heavy items inside of them and then stack them on top of each other. |
Then it's forklift ballet to try to offload it. |
