Thumrait is the one of the company's largest sites. It's stuck out in the middle of nowhere. It takes at least an hour to drive from the nearest real city - Salalah, to get here. It's actually on a Royal Omani Air Force base. With the exception of some peaks in the distance, it's flat and devoid of everything but rocks and sand.
This is where I got to spend a month living. It was basically a very small hotel room without the room service.
