While I was in Oman, I decided to visit the traditional resting place of Job,
that poor guy who has a whole book in the Bible devoted to his trails and tribulations.
These are shots driving up the hill to get to the mosque where the tomb is located. Long, winding roads
with drop offs along the way. He was basically buried at the top of the hills/mountains.

The Tomb.
This was built over the gravesite. It sits right behind a mosque in a garden of sorts.

Looking into the tomb.
We visited on a Friday - the muslim "Sunday". There were a number of
people praying around the grave. The Muslims also look to Job as one of their patriarchs.
Interestingly enough, the majority of the "pilgrims" were Asians.

This one certainly takes "faith" - this is supposedly an imprint of Job's foot next to the hoof print
of a donkey. It's a bit hard to see, but the foot print is along the bottom just about framed
by the shadow. The hoof print is about center. You can see the edge fairly clearly.
This is right outside the front of the tomb.
They have flowering shrubs and plants around the building and lining the path up to it. At least it gives the area some color.

A shot looking towards the tomb from an open lot. The tomb is right behind the foliage.
These are shots as we were driving back. As you can see it was a pretty bleak area.
It was like this most of the way.
and of course....the ever present camels.
